Tips For Eye Shadow

Apply the shadow. You will apply the lightest color on the brow bone, the darkest color in the crease and the medium shade on the eyelid.

Step1. Use an eye shadow brush or sponge applicator (a brush works best)and apply the lightest color from the crease up toward you eyebrow. Do not cake it on; just a light coat will do

Step2. Apply the medium shadow over your eyelid. Cover the entire lid all the way to the crease.

Step3. Add the darkest shadow into the crease using a small, angled makeup brush. If you want the color to be a little more dramatic, you can wet your brush before apply the shadow.

Step4. Use your finger tip to gently blend the colors into each other so that it doesn’t look like a stark line in the crease.

Step5. Dip a cotton swab into eye makeup remover to clean up any mistakes.

Experiment with your eye shadow techniques until you find a look that you like. Have fun!

Professional Eyeliner Tips

Eyeliner can make even the smallest eyes appear larger.

A typical way to apply liquid eyeliner is to line eye from the inside of the lashes outward in one big sweep. You can also line the eye from the middle of the lash line outward, then finish the line from the inner corner of the eye to the middle.

Step 1: Start with a completely bare eye

Step 2: Starting with the upper lashes, dot the liquid liner into the spaces between the lashes, wiggling the liner into the lashes. The result is not supposed to be a line. It's supposed to look as if the lashes themselves are super thick at the root

Step 3: Apply mascara

Step 4: Compare eye to other naked eye and see if you love the results.

Trim Your Own Bang

Step 1: Wet your bangs.

Step 2: Towel blot strands bangs. Detangle bangs completely to remove knots. If your hair is prone to frizz, apply a defrisant product before you blow dry.

Step 3: Blow bangs completely dry. If bangs are wavy or naturally curly, use a boar's head paddle or natural round brush to blow bangs completely straight.

Step 4: Separate bangs into three equal sized sections.

Step 5: Clip the two end sections away from the middle section. Firmly, without stretching hair, grab the middle section of bang hair hair between the index and middle finger of your dominant hand so
that it forms a smooth even line.

Step 6: Hold your trimming scissors at a 45 degree angle to avoid crooked slicing when chopping straight across. Start very slowly and snip off tiny pieces of the bangs with the scissors moving from the right to the left. Finish clipping the middle section. Check the length. If you need more hair removed, repeat the same action cutting from left to right.

Step 7: Once you are happy with the length of the middle section, unclip the right side. Using the finished middle section as a point of reference for the length you desire, cut the side section.

Step 8: Once both sides have been trimmed, study the completely sweep of bangs from edge to edge. Make any adjustments to the middle or either side.

Get Hollywood’s Best Eyebrows

In terms of how thick or thin you should go, face shape and eye shape can play a part. For example, if you have a round, square, or very full face, try for slightly arched, elongated brows that aren’t too skinny

Large or almond-shaped eyes can get away with bold brows, but if you have smaller eyes, stick with a more slender shape so your arches don’t upstage them.

Make Your Eyes Look Bigger Lesson!

Step 1. Trim the lashes. Optionally, trim the individual lashes to make them look more natural. They should be longer towards the outer corner of the eye then make sure there is barely any gap between your real eye lashes and the fake, and the lash length should vary slightly.

Step 2. Squeeze eyelash glue onto the back of your hand and run the eyelash along it. Blow softly from edge to edge to make the glue a little less runny to apply your lashes.

Step 3. Pick the lashes up with tweezers and bring it as close to your natural lash line as possible.

Step 4. Press from end to end and hold until the glue dries (30 seconds to a minute, or sometimes less depending upon the adhesive). This allows the glue to set so that when you lift your fingertips from it, the lashes won't come along for the ride

Step 5. Apply mascara while pressing your finger behind the fake lashes. This will bond the false lashes with yours.(It may be beneficial to use an eyelash curler before applying mascara)

Step 6. Fill any gaps between the false lashes and your natural lash line with eyeliner.

Summer's Hottest Hairstyle: Boho Braids!

Step 1. Get a pearl-sized amount of gel and scrunch your hair with your hands. Flip your hair over for even more volume, and blow dry.

Step 2. Take a 2-4 inch piece of hair right at the front (see picture) and braid it across to the other side. Make sure you braid it all the way to the end. Pin the braid behind the ear, and you’re all set.

Boho braids are great for the summer because they keep the hair out of your face, as well as giving you a chic and elegant do that you can wear anytime during the day.

How to create a smoky eye

Step 1: Choose A Color
A smoky eye is done with one color of eye shadow. Brown, grey, or black are good choices. Dark plum or navy are for the brave. Eyeliners should match.

Step 2: Prep Your Lid
Apply a thin layer of foundation across your lids. Then sweep on a nude colored shadow or powder. Use a light shimmer if you’re feeling fancy.

Step 3: Pencil In
Using your pencil, draw a line around your eyes. If you want your smoky eyes to look especially frisky, draw on your inner rims as well. Blend with a cotton swab.

Step 4: Brush Up
Start by sweeping on a layer of shadow close to the lashline with your eyeshadow brush, diffusing the eyeliner. With a light hand, add another layer of eye shadow and blend upward... so the the color fades evenly from lash to crease. Line the lower eye with a liner brush and diffuse with a cotton swab.

Step 5: Finishing Touches
Use a cotton swab to blend or clean up any shadow. Apply two coats of mascara on curled lashes to polish the smoky eye look.
