If your brows are a bit thin or pale, an eyebrow pencil is an inexpensive and easy way to compensate for what is missing. There are a few simple rules and techniques that will make this simple and deliver the desired outcome-natural looking eyebrows.
Start by sharpening the pencil. You don't want it too pointy or too round. Pointed with a slightly rounded edge is the best way to go.
Using a brow brush, gently sweep your brows upward. This will give a better definition of the bottom line of the brow so you can see what you are dealing with.
Using very short and quick strokes, start at the top of your arch and fill in downwards. Try to use very light and even strokes. If you press too hard and deposit too much color it will be quite obvious.
Once you have done this to both brows, take the brow brush and go back over your brow to blend in the color you have applied. This will blend everything together nicely and erase any "mistakes" that were made during the application.
Try to match the pencil to your natural color. Putting a dark color on, or too much color, will result in a very unnatural look. Taupe is a universal shade that looks good on almost anybody and might be a good color choice if you are a first timer. Sharpen your pencil, and see what you can create on your own eyebrows.
